Oh yes, that’s exactly what you have to do to submit links etc. with your openid account. You can’t link openid to an existing account, but you can upgrade the openid account itself to a full dzone username.

Currently, Javalobby/EclipseZone isn’t on the same sign-on as dzone, so you can’t use your openid there (yet), even with a full account.

Can we link our OpenID and our existing JavaLobby/DZone account? I’d like to be able to get the benefits of OpenID single sign-on without losing access to the features of a full account.

Am I stupid, or did the submit story function get hidden? I’ve been looking 5+ mins now and still don’t see it, and yes, I am logged in. I would think the submit feature would be one of the more prominent UI elements…

Overall, it looks fairly nice but the scrolling “feature” needs to be axed or made into an option. It’s very annoying since it makes the scroll bar difficult to use .. you can no longer just jump back to a particular place on the page with the scroll bar since it keeps downloading more material .. I think I prefer the 20 links per page way ..

What do the rest of you think?

It is a shame. The most important part of your page is allocated for the animated adverts that is so distracting and annoying and your main content is shifted to the right. You made yourself very loud & clear. Your paying customers and their adverts are more important then your users and the content. It is exact opposite of the strategy that contributed to Googles success, which puts their free content and their users before the paying adverts and customers.
Couldn’t you learn anything from them for gods sake…

My only worry is that the code snippets link is now difficult to find, could you point me in the right direction, please?
